Vanaheim

Above the inner planes lies Vanaheim, where the gods live. While they spend most of their time here, they have the power to appear on other planes as well, either in person or through intermediaries.

It is possible to go these planes and meet the gods in person, although finding a way across the Bifrost requires powerful magic, and the gods do not necessarily grant an audience to just any mortal that arrives at their home. To make a tuning fork that is attuned to Vanaheim, an essence that is directly connected to one of the gods is required, such as an apple from Idun's orchard, or a feather willingly given from the wing of one of Freya's valkyries.

Vanaheim is also home to other celestial beings in the service of the gods, such as Valkyries, Deva, Coatl, and Lumin.

City of Asgard

At the center of Vanaheim lies Asgard, the City of the Gods. It lies at the end of a great fjord, and is surrounded by great walls, several hundred feet high. Those few mortals who have wandered its streets and returned tell of wonders beyond counting.

Valhalla

Valhalla is Odin's great longhouse, located at the center of Asgard. Many gods visit Valhalla each day, conducting their business with Odin and each other.

Odin is gathering an army in Valhalla for a single purpose: Ragnarok. In the daytime, the fields around the great hall are filled with warriors, training for the final battle. Each evening, Valhalla houses a great feast where the fallen warriors celebrate as if it was their last day in the afterlife.

Godswater

East of Asgard lies a great sea, the Godswater. Thor and Aegir ever vie for control here. Many great naval battles have been fought between the crews of Thor's Skidbladnir, and Aegir's Naglfar.

Folkvang

In the Godswater lies the island of Folkvang, which is Freya's domain. A bridge connects Folkvang with Asgard. The island is an endless wheat field bathed in eternal dawn. At its highest point lies Sessrumnir, Freya's golden hall, where she gathers souls to repopulate the world after Ragnarok.

The Beastlands

The outlying mountainous fields around Asgard are called the Beastlands, and are the domain of Skadi.
