This lasso is made from thin elven rope reinforced with bands of elemental silks. Windsilk allows the lasso to be thrown further and earthsilk increases its strength. The lasso can be used as normal rope, and it can hold up to 2000 pounds.
When you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your attacks to attempt to tether a creature within 60 feet. The target can not be more than one size larger than you. The creature makes a Dexterity saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier). On a failure, the creature becomes wrangled and cannot move away from you unless you allow it (up to a maximum of 60 feet). You must have a free hand to hold the lasso, and you can release a wrangled creature with no action required.
While a creature is tethered, if your movement would leave the creature beyond the lasso's reach, the creature is pulled closer to you. Pulling a creature like this requires using double movement. You can also pull the creature closer without moving, spending movement to pull the creature that many feet closer to you. You can also take the Utilize action to tie the lasso to a suitable object, tethering it to the object instead of you.
Wrangled creatures can use an Action to repeat the saving throw, escaping the bonds on a success. The lasso can also be severed by dealing 25 slashing damage to it. If severed, the Mending cantrip can fix it.
You can also throw the lasso at an unattended object using a Sleight of Hand check (the DC is determined by the DM). On a success, you become tethered to that object.
