Emberbeetles are solitary insects the size of a small dog. They are drawn to fire essences, and are often found near volcanoes. An emberbeetle can take down prey much larger than itself. They are sometimes hunted for their crimson carapace, which is a useful alchemy ingredient when ground to powder.
