Warforged

Created and given consciousness through magical technology, these automatons are made with a purpose in mind. Will you work towards that goal, or are you a renegade? The warforged were only recently engineered by machinists of the FTC, and they are using them as footsoldiers and guards. However, like with all technology, it was only a matter of time before the secrets to their creation spread.

Warforged take on a multitude of appearances. Some are androids, appearing close to humans. Others are faceless machines, one copy out of a hundred.

Mechanical Resilience

You have advantage on saving throws against being Poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage. You also do not need to eat, drink, or breathe.

Sentry's Rest

You do not need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep. You can complete a long rest by spending at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but you are not Unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.

Specialized Design

You gain one skill proficiency and one tool proficiency of your choice.

Material Benefits

Depending on what material you are made of, you gain a different benefit. You choose your material when you select this race.

Metal

Your thick metal shell protects your inner workings, granting you a +1 bonus to your Armor Class.

Wood

Your carapace is made from enchanted forest wood. You learn the Druidcraft cantrip, and can cast Faerie Fire once per long rest. You choose Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma as your spellcasting modifier for these spells when you select this option, and you can also cast the spells with any spell slots you have.

Ceramic

You are covered with a layer of isolating ceramic, giving you resistance to fire and lightning damage.

Composite

Your lightweight construction increases your walking speed by 5 feet.
