Dragon Domain

The great dragons, winged beasts infused with primal power, strike fear and awe in all they encounter. It is therefore not strange that mortals would start to worship these majestic creatures, who often relish in the admiration of their adherents. Some turn their devotion not to the dragons themselves, but to the deities who spawned them.

In the Estian Islands, Heimdall is the father of the metallic dragons, while Skadi is the mother of the chromatic dragons. Their children have been at war since before the reckoning of mortal time, and clerics like these have taken side for almost as long.

Level 3: Mark of the Dragon

Choose one of the following Marks of the Dragon:

  • Metallic Mark: Once per turn when you fail a d20 Test, you can add 2 (1d4) to the roll, potentially turning it into a success.
  • Chromatic Mark: When you hit with an attack, you deal additional acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

You are permanently under the effects of your chosen Mark. You can use a Magic Action to also confer the bonuses to another creature. Only one other creature can have your Mark at a time.

You choose the appearance of your mark, perhaps by consulting the following table.

d4Mark Appearance
1A glowing rune-like mark around the eye.
2You grow a spectral pair of horns.
3Draconic scales cover your extremities.
4A talon scar across the face.

Level 3: Awesome Presence

You gain proficiency in your choice of Persuasion, Intimidation, or Deception, and you add your Wisdom modifier to any Charisma ability check you make.

Additionally, you learn the Draconic language.

Level 3: Channel Divinity: Breath of Aeons

As an action, you exhale primal energy in a 30-foot cone or a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. All creatures in the area must succeed a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 14 (4d6) plus your cleric level of acid, fire, cold, lightning, or poison damage.

Level 6: Draconic Ward

Creatures affected by your Mark of the Dragon gain resistance to your choice of acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage. When you finish a short or long rest, you can change this damage type.

Level 17: Winged Mark

Creatures affected by your Mark of the Dragon gain a flying speed equal to their walking speed, as draconic wings sprout from their back.
