Cor Falbariex (Order of the Poison Daggermen) is a secret organization of elven assassins. Not many people are even aware of their existence, and even fewer of their internal customs and structure. They operate a network of spies and safehouses across the Estian Sea.
Like many covert organizations, the order is highly compartmentalized. Members rarely know each other's true name, if they ever meet at all, since most orders are delivered via dead drop or by Sending. Membership in the order is strictly limited to elves and half-elves.
The mark of the order is a stylized snake head with large fangs, a symbol that strikes equal parts fear and awe in those that know what it means.
History
The order was founded in Amnora when the Empire ruled over it. Originally they targetted Teccan officials in a bid for self-determination.
Now they kill for vast sums of gold. Some believe the King of Amnora has some leverage over the order and sometimes uses them for covert actions.
Leadership
The leader of the Cor Falbariex is Barandir Aenidin, Prince of Amnora. From the privacy of his well-guarded grand manor in Tel Amnora, he orchestrates every move the order makes.
The order is divided into cells in order to control operational security. Each cell is assigned an area, such as Estia or Vanadis. Most cells consist of no more than half a dozen assassins, responsible for gathering intelligence on their targets, brewing poisons, securing escape routes, and establishing contacts with other underworld elements.
Contracts
Most contracts are received indirectly when a prospective client contacts their local criminal elements, who then pass on the opportunity to the order if they deem it too risky. After approaching the client and discussing the details (in a place of their choosing), the order names their price. There is no bargaining possible.
