If the DM has approved rolling for stats, you can generate a full spread here. Simply choose which the rolling mode and reveal each roll one by one. Depending on what was agreed for the campaign, you can reorder these stats however you wish.
Each rolling mode has its own distribution. As a point of comparison, point buy typically gives an array with a total around 70, with several high stats giving a lower total. The top two or three rolls are typically more important than the total sum, since the game rewards specialization.
3d6
Average: 63±7.25, 0.5% chance per die of getting an 18
The least generous mode, but historically interesting. These characters are generally less powerful than what point buy accomplishes. The symmetrical distribution is heavily skewed towards middling rolls around 10, which makes for less interesting characters, on average.
4d6h3
Average: 73.5±7.0, 1.6% chance per die of getting an 18
This provides a certain amount of bad luck protection, while still providing the full 3-18 spread. This is the standard when rolling, and characters are of a similar power level to point buy, on average.
2d6+6
Average: 78±5.9, 2.8% chance per die of getting an 18
Essentially 3d6, but one die is maximized. Doing this skews the distribution to 8-18, and is almost always better than point buy.
