House Fenalar

Redplume

House Fenalar are the most martially minded of the Amnoran houses. Its members are rarely seen without a sword on their hip, and they often wear armor to occasions where others wear gowns. Their feasts often include a joust on armored quillstriders, or at least an archery contest.

House Fenalar owns several quillstrider ranches, where they raise steeds for jousting and for the Amnoran military. The most highly valued quillstriders are large males with the colors of a princely house.

They also train and equip a large retinue of heavy quillstrider cavalry armed with lances. This elite force is considered the most powerful in open combat of any house's retinue.

Uller is the patron deity of House Fenalar, and all their hunts begin with a sacrifice in his honor. The Fenalar-owned quillstrider racing venue in Tel Amnora is also dedicated to him.

The Fenalar coat of arms depicts a crimson quillstrider.

House Fenalar maintains a shaky alliance with House Isneril, trading influence for magic items from their artificers, especially armor for their retinue.

Cael Fenalar

The seat of House Fenalar consists of several fortified houses close to the High Prince's Palace. Its gardens have been dedicated as a tournament ground, complete with jousting course, archery range, and fencing pistes. The grounds also holds a stable for quillstriders, both for the members of the family and for the Fenalar retinue, who use the grounds for training.
