Trixie was a small-time criminal running scams on the streets of Greystone, a halfling of ordinary talent. That is, until she acquired the crystal. The damned crystal - she both hated and loved it. She had pick-pocketed it from a dragonborn merchant who had just stepped off a ship from somewhere far away. That was when her strange powers manifested. If it had been lying dormant inside of her, triggered by the crystal, or a curse extended on her for stealing, she did not know.
She had spent many nights falling asleep while staring into the depths of the deep red crystal. It had given her powers, sure. But powers she couldn't control were no good to her. Once, she had tried to get rid of the crystal, the imagined source of her woes, but to no good. That had just removed even more of her tenuous control.
Trixie is a very quick talker, who can talk her way out of any situation. She can always conjure up a fib, story, or filibuster. At least if her strange powers remain dormant!
