This bow is infused with the magic of the Shadowfell. It is made from a single piece of living shadewood, an incredibly rare wood from the far depths of the Plane of Shadows with a jet black sheen. The grip is wrapped with black leather and decorated with raven's feathers.
Dormant
- You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
- On the first turn of combat, you can make a single attack with this weapon as a bonus action, and you can apply Dread Ambusher on this attack without expending a charge.
Awakened
- The bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2.
- When you cast Hunter's Mark with a 2nd-level spell slot or higher, you no longer have to concentrate on it.
- You can attack magical lightsources in an attempt to dispel them by conjuring an arrow of shadow. If the level of the light is equal or below your Proficiency Bonus, it is instantly dispelled. If it is higher, you need to make a Wisdom check, with a DC equal to 10 + the level of the light.
Exalted
- The bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +3.
- Once per long rest, you can cast Banishing Smite. When you banish creatures, they are sent to the depths of the Shadowfell. You can also use your own spell slots to cast the spell.
