Dostria

Dostria has deep ties to the Teccan Empire. It was one of the first provinces that were conquered, and is almost fully culturally assimilated with the imperial culture. The province is named for the river Doster, which flows through the province capital of Corcaster before reaching the ocean in the eponymous bay. The mountains to the west cast a rain shadow over Dostria, making it quite arid.

After the fall of the Empire, it descended into a series of wars between local warlords. These wars lasted for almost fifty years, with varying intensity. In 1251, Aulian Fraxinus defeated the last of his enemies and was crowned King of Dostria.

Corcaster

The largest settlement in Dostria. It was once the dread realm of Blood-King Sangon, a necromancer vampire who rebelled against the Empire and ruled the land with an iron fist. After the Battle of the Midnight Sun, the land was slowly reclaimed by the living, but negative energy still has a large influence here.

The Blackfort

The seat of power in Dostria. The fort lies on top of a steep cliff, with many spires, rooks, and towers. The dungeons below reach are hewn into the mountain itself, and no living soul knows how deep they go.

King Lucinian II

(human, LN, 47): King of Dostria who only recently came to power after his father died under mysterious circumstances.

Queen Iphicia

(human, LE, 39): Queen Iphicia hails from old Teccan nobility who fled to Dostria when the Empire fell.

Dunanshel

Smallfolk fishing village near the mouth of the Doster river.

Avanirnon

An island off the west coast of Dostria, where the influence of Blood-King Sangon never diminished, and death roams freely. Ships give the island a wide berth, and very few mortals who venture here return, but there is rumors of great treasure to be found here.
