The port city of Alyn Iunaes is the part of Iacaris that most visitors see first. The harbor is not that different from most human settlements, although the native ships are: the elves use trimarans for their speed. Each ship has two masts on the center hull and one on each outrigger.
The majority of the windsilk produced in the Estian Islands is made in Alyn Iunaes by artificers from the Royal Arcanaeum in Tel Edhil. A ship's captain with the right contacts would have to pay upward of 20000gp for a set of windsilk sails.
The Rusty Anchor
Poor inn
A true dive bar, the Rusty Anchor is a bar inside an upturned ship that had washed up on the beach. The name stems from the massive anchor hanging from the keel timber, which also doubles as a chandelier. There is only one floor, and the bar is right underneath where the steering wheel would be. It smells of stale beer and musty wood. There is no door, only a large hole in the ships hull where Bighorns the Minotaur bouncer leans against the frame, ready to lay down the law if a fight escalates.
Rough seamen who visit the bar drink, share stories and play darts, dice and cards. The proprietor and bartender is a bright green lizardfolk male named Vusluk, but everyone calls him 'Captain'. All the staff are also lizardfolk, except for the bouncer Bighorns, a minotaur.
The Sea-altar
A handful of sea-stacks stand in the ocean, where the Isnelon delta meets the ocean. Narrow rope-bridges connect the stacks. This is a holy site for followers of Aegir, who regularly hold ceremonies here to gain fair winds for an upcoming journey, or to calm the sea when it is especially rough. The stacks are also a well-known landmark among sailors.
Warden Harbor
In a guarded section of the main harbor, the Wardens operate a small navy of trimarans. These quick and agile ships patrol the waters around Iacaris.
