Patron deity: Odin

The Elven Kingdom of Iacaris (lit 'Beloved-Island') is ruled by Queen Caerynna Hathador and Prince-Consort Aerilor Halasir from their seat in the city of Tel Edhil. While Iacaris is not technically an island, it is only connected to the mainland by the nigh-impassable Wild Isthmus.

The coat of arms of the kingdom, and its ruling family, is a silver star over a silver tree on a deep green field. This represents the court of Queen Caerynna in the boughs of Tel Edhil.

Edhiltharel

The Edhiltharel forest covers the northern half of the island. It is home to Tel Edhil and the port city of Alyn Iunaes, both of which lie along the river Isnelon ('Clearstream'). While the delta is muddy, the farther upriver you go, the clearer the water gets, until it is perfectly crystal at the feet of the Rhimere. Isnelon flows through Tel Edhil and is calm enough for traffic on the river to be possible in a boat that is suited to it.

Tel Edhil

Tel Edhil is the che capital of the Kingdom of Iacaris. In common, the name translates as the Serene City. This ancient city is more grown than built - at first glance, it barely looks like a city, since most buildings are melded into cliffs and trees, although some are more familiar-looking. The streets are undulating grass-covered paths beneath large boughs that shade the city from above.

Alyn Iunaes

The port city of Alyn Iunaes is the part of Iacaris that most visitors see first. The harbor is not that different from most human settlements, although the native ships are: the elves use trimarans for their speed. Each ship has two masts on the center hull and one on each outrigger.

Moonwatch Grove

A druid grove where druids of the circle of the moon congregate at specific times in the intricate lunar calendar that they follow. A shrine to Skadi the Wildwatcher stands at the center of the grove.

Rhowyn Aenimon

(wood elf, LN): Archdruid and leader of the grove. She has woven powerful warding enchantments over the surrounding area.

Imon Tindoliex

The tower of the wizard Nirnevar Tindoliex, whose research was not always on the correct side of what was deemed ethical. He was not banished outright, but moved away from Tel Edhil almost 150 years ago. His tower is a hollow silver oak.

Rhimer Peaks

The Rhimere in elvish, these mountains divide Iacaris in two.

Maerdris

A society of lunar elf astronomers, high up in the Rhimere in a hidden valley that is much greener than the surrounding mountains. At the center of the village is a shrine to Odin, the god of magic. The shrine holds the Starscope, which is the focal point of the astronomical research that goes on here, where the elves chart the movement of the stars and planets in order to learn about the world and divine the future. Any outsiders here would be treated with great apprehension until they proved themselves as friends, especially non-elves.

Elynna Siltirel

(lunar elf stars druid, TN): Elder druid of Maerdris, and master astronomer. She carries Antumbra.

Agatha Clearglass

(gnome master lensmaker, NG): Originally a merchant from Covenant, Agatha was recruited to maintain the elven starscope in Maerdris.

Maer Mithril

A mithril mine that lies at the end of a narrow valley. The mine has been in use for several thousand years, and the tunnels reach far below the jungle, connecting to the Underdark.

Aerilwyn's Fall

The greatest bladesinger to ever live, Aerilwyn Nilteril, sacrificed herself here to save her comrades. She was in command of the Bladesinger Guard in a battle against white dragons during the last flare-up of the dragon war. Now, the bones of white dragons and Teccan legionnaires lie together at this mountaintop, wreathed by rawsley flowers.

Swampdeep

South of the Rhimer Peaks the forest becomes denser and wetter, teeming with wildlife. There are few roads through the Swampdeep, and most traffic to the city of Tel Cindris goes by boat.

Tel Cindris

South of the Rhimere the dense forests almost completely hinder long-distance travel on foot, and the easiest way to get to Tel Cindris is by boat. It is a lush town that straddles the mouth of a river that runs from the mountains. The river is not navigable, as there are many waterfalls and rapids along its path.

The Wild Isthmus

Nythatien is the elvish name for the narrow strip of land that connects Iacaris to the mainland. It is very densely forested, and only the Wardens know the safe paths through. Without knowledge of these secret paths, it is very easy to get lost in the labyrinthine passages.

Pond of the Naiads

Deep in the jungle lies a pristine pond that is home to a dozen or so naiads, as well as water elementals and . The naiads are all sisters, and preen themselves for any passersby. Beware, however, as they are master enchanters, and many adventurers have stayed by their side until hunger took them.

Ophinea

(naiad, CN): The most powerful of the naiads of the pond. She is as beautiful to behold as she is dangerous.

Deepjungle Copse

This far into the jungle, the borders between the Feywild and the Material Plane overlap. The copse lies in both planes, providing an immensely strong connection to the fey spirits. Any ritual involving fey beings would be very powerful if performed here.

Aelatarisen

'The Blue Dragon Island' is home to a handful of roosting blue dragons. The broodmother Maragosa is the oldest dragon here, and many of her children live nearby. Maragosa's lair is her wizard's tower, where she studies arcane mysteries. Wanderers who come too close can expect to at the very least be robbed of any magical items they carry, but are lucky to get out alive.

Maeral

Maeral is the name of both the island next to Iacaris, and its biggest settlement. It is a sparsely populated swampy island, albeit rich with natural resources for intrepid entrepreneurs who wish to harvest them. Almost no roads cross the island, but there are more frequently traveled paths.

The inland of Maeral is a nigh impassable maze of dense primeval forests, treacherous swamps, and razor mountains. Only those with a great need travel here. Many species of animals make the uninhabited wilds of Maeral their home, including foot-long dragonflies, actual dragons (mostly of the green and black kind), and giant apes. A colony of sphinxes is also rumored to live in the foothills of the mountains that run along the island.

Maeralion

Maeralion is the largest settlement on the island of Maeral. The town is built on a swamp, with some of its houses standing on stilts connected by rickety gangplanks. Maeralion has more non-elves than the rest of Iacaris, but is still predominantly elven. Narrow waterways is the main mode of transportation, and most houses have a small dock where rowboats can make harbor.

Tel Brimen

The village of Tel Brimen is situated at the end of a sandy bay surrounded by dense jungle. It is home to about 500 people, with about an equal split of wood elves and middins. The middins call the village Telabemi.

Ambar Atador

Ambar Atador, the Dragonguard Fortress, is a ruined relic of times past. When the Dragon War flared, this fortress was constructed to keep watch over the Narrows for any dragons approaching. It has long been ruined, but who knows that lurks among its fallen spires now?

Lizardfolk Tribes

Several tribes of lizardfolk inhabit the swamps of Maeral. They live in thatched huts on stilts deep in the swamps, where they make their living as hunters and gatherers. They are generally not hostile if unprovoked, but can put up fierce resistance if given a reason. Some non-lizardfolk live here too, outlaws, druids and others who have abandoned civilization.

The Narrows

A thin channel between Iacaris and Maeral, this straight is devilishly difficult to navigate by ship. Hidden undercurrents throw unaware ships onto the sandbanks and razor sharp rocks that line the shores on both sides. Only the most experienced captains should attempt to pass through here. Some elven captains have built special ships to ship goods through. Called Narrowrunners, they are low-draft multi-hull vessels powered by sail and oar.

Venomfang Temple

Elvish Falmondris. Once the home to a sect of yuan-ti who tried to call forth an avatar of Jormungandr to wreak havoc on the world. They were stopped by the elves of Iacaris in a costly assault, and their pyramid temples were torn down.
