South of the Rhimere the dense forests almost completely hinder long-distance travel on foot, and the easiest way to get to Tel Cindris is by boat. It is a lush town that straddles the mouth of a river that runs from the mountains. The river is not navigable, as there are many waterfalls and rapids along its path.
Tel Cindris' economy is based on farming, mostly hot-climate fruits like citrus, mango, pineapple, and banana. The produce is exported to all corners of the archipelago.
Skadi's Hallow
On top of the tallest hill in Tel Cindris, a small meadow of wildflowers surrounds a large twilight maple tree. The bough of the tree forms a dome, and in its shade an altar stands to Skadi the Landmother. A flock of peacocks are kept here too, sacred birds to followers of Skadi. The shrine is kept by Heather, an earth genasi priestess with hair made from vines and flowers.
Outrider Keep
The Outriders are an elite company of Wardens mounted on armored tigers, able to move through the jungle with speed and stealth. This is where they breed their tiger mounts, and where they come back for new orders when they finish their patrols.
Cael Meliacore
Lit. House of the Strong Fist, a monastery devoted to teaching monks to become Warriors of the Open Hand. While most of their initiates are elven, they accept all races who can pass a test of mettle.
