Planar elves, or rathtire, are a collective name for the various elf subraces whose beings are infused with the power of the planes and other cosmic forces. These elves are much more rare on the Material Plane than their cousins. The exact origin of the different lineages are not always known. Some descend from divine beings, others absorbed their power simply by living in places of power for millenia.
Planar elves can procreate with elves from the Material Plane. Their traits are usually recessive, but it is not unheard of for them to resurface after a few generations.
Planar Elf Traits
As a planar elf, you have the following racial traits.

Walking Speed | 30 feet |
Languages | Common, Elvish, and one language of your choice |

As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. Some lineages augments this ability. If the effect requires a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma modifier (choose when you select this race).

Their societies are usually more active during nighttime, with most resting when the sun is out.
