Constantin is a minor noble of the Breckenridge family who has been kicked out into the countryside for embarrassing both his family and those in other families of political sensitivity by calling out falsehoods and other minor transgressions in his eye. Perhaps due to this reputation, he was recruited into the Justicars, a paladin order of Sif, as a Squire. He willingly left Covenant to live in Honeypot as the representative of his order. He doesn't find this a shame upon his name and honour, but more a test of his ideals.
Constantin is a rather large human for living in Honeypot and stands head and shoulders above most so can be easily spotted by those around. He has blonde hair and in devotion to Sif marks a streak of black using the ashes of incense and other herbs or charcoal in a pinch. As a result he hates the rain. Typically he wears a yellow jerkin which is over his plain doublet, tan breeches and tall leather boots. He dislikes wearing hats or capes casually but will wear them if the weather persists. While many in his order prefer black, he prefers the dyes of the local various yellow flowers such as chamomile which provide the all important honey to this region. Unlike many nobles, he chooses to be clean shaven.
He also has in his possession an ornate set of clothes embroidered with the Breckenridge crest which he wears for formal occasions. No matter the case he will always have his ornate fleur-de-lis holy symbol on display. In battle, he dons some bland chainmail, a longsword longer than most halflings in the town and a shield with the fleur-de-lis crest of his order. At present this is simply painted on but in time he aims to make this more ornate. His short term aspiration is to acquire a horse, lance and banner to be closer to be closer to the paintings of knights he saw in his childhood home.
Relationships
In Constantin's new life in Honeypot he lives in the main town and works in the Moothouse with both Melissa Springpollen and Penrose Brasschain. He finds the hard of hearing Brasschain a little bit trying to his patience but otherwise gets on well with them both. The overall door height in Honeypot is also a problem…
Constantin has dealings with the Wayfarer's in their role as the "town guard". There he learns of all sorts of comings and goings and other tall tales from Abbington Swiftfellow. Constantin enjoys those tales containing the slaying of dragons the most as any knight should do. Here he also buys the incense and other herbs required for his rites (and hair) from Chorda Crashcart.
Constantin is fond of both Hannah Sweetpear and Molly Barleywine but is too shy to properly talk to them without stumbling and getting nervous. It turns out maybe Constantin is not great at talking to those of the fairer sex whom he doesn't know well. He has been pestering both Calanthe and Orrick Mossroan to provide him a fine horse to little success (they keep fobbing him off with excuses about him being too large). On his latest meeting with Orrick Mossroan, Constantin learned of reports of Goblin scouts from the Halcyon Glades to the north.
He has bought texts from Almena Arantor, whom he gets on well with somehow. He supposes this is because it offers him a little bit of a chance to talk to someone else well read. His family had a knack for the arcane arts which Constantin could never quite get to grips of so is somewhat envious of her but respects the skill and dedication required to perform such magical arts.
