House Aenidin are one of the oldest and proudest princely houses. During the years of the Empire, House Aenidin worked tirelessly in the shadows towards Amnoran independence, and they fault the other houses inaction.
Aenidin alchemists are the best in Amnora, especially when it comes to poisons. They often have well-paying contracts out for the procurement of rare alchemical ingredients.
The green crest of House Aenidin depicts a striking snake with a dagger in its mouth. Their crest has several symbols of Loki, their patron deity, as part of it. House Aenidin rarely speaks of their devotion to the Spider Prince, but they are rumored to have a shrine to him in their manor.
Retinue
The retinue of House Aenidin, are only spoken about in whispers, and almost never seen openly. They carry out missions in secret for the prince, and sometimes as part of a very expensive contract to another noble or the High Prince. When not on contract, they gather intelligence and seek out alchemical ingredients. The organization has a reach far beyond Tel Amnora, with contacts and safehouses throughout the Estian Sea.
When acting beyond Amnoran borders, their retinue is organized into cells to ensure operational security. Each cell is assigned an area, such as Estia or Vanadis. Most cells consist of no more than half a dozen members, responsible for gathering intelligence on their targets, brewing poisons, securing escape routes, and establishing contacts with other underworld elements.
While many fear their daggers, the true power of House Aenidin is not though direct covert action, but through intelligence. They know almost everything that goes on in the city, and put this information to good use - rarely through direct blackmail of the other houses, but through veiled threats and mere insinuation, they have a way of getting their will done.
These activities have earned them few true friends. House Silroth openly opposes them, and most others treat them with hesitation and skepticism. Their only ally is House Isneril, who share their views on outsiders.
Cael Aenidin
Among the smallest of the princely manors, located on a private island. Outsiders are very rarely allowed on the island, and their feasts are always held in other spaces of the city.
